Our current perimeter wall made of plants

HOSPITAL PERIMETER WALL

Our current perimeter wall is a combination of barbed wire and natural plants that were planted to reinforce the barbed wires. However thieves cut the wires and gain access to the hospital and make away with hospital valuables. During the dry seasons the plants shed off the leaves and penetration becomes easier for the intruders.

Upon availability of funds, huruma hospital is planning to construct a concrete perimeter wall which will help in:

  • Preventing burglary attempts: securing hospital valuables and also give greater sense of security those who lives in
  • Gives greater sense of privacy: Activities going on in the hospital and people are shielded from outside interference.
  • A perimeter wall and secured gated entrance will go a long way to ensure that no patients or clients wanders away from the hospital without relevant authority

THE PROJECT WILL IMMEDIATELY BEGIN ONCE FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE

ADMINISTRATION BLOCK

Huruma hospital administration offices are scattered due to unavailability of buildings. Many administrative offices were converted to wards due to patients demands and management had to find alternative offices which some are tiny and not conducive for working long hours because of design position.

Our dream is to have a single administration unit that will provide an area of offices, workspaces and associated facilities for supporting the management of the facility and may include both clinical and non-clinical support staff to oversee the management of a hospital or unit. This will include administrative tasks, interviews and meetings by a range of executive, medical, nursing and support personnel.

The Administration Unit will include the following administrative positions:

  • Main Reception and Enquiries
  • Medical Officer In-charge and support staff
  • Matron/Patron and Senior Nurse Officers
  • Human Resources and Payroll staff
  • Head of Finance and Accounting and support staff
  • VIP services
  • Public Relations
  • Legal Services
  • Quality Management
  • Training, Education and Research
  • Disaster Management coordination
  • Clinical Administration, including medical, clinical, professional staff with supportstaff
